Federal student loan borrowers encouraged to apply for waiver

The U.S. Department of Education is reminding federal student loan borrowers to apply for the Limited Public Service Loan Forgiveness Waiver before Oct. 31. The waiver relaxes some of the eligibility rules and has a simplified forgiveness process. Borrowers are encouraged to apply even if they have been denied before or used other benefits.
